NOMINATE A FAMILY

Since 1988, the AFS Memorial fund has been recognizing, honoring and donating to "local families in need".  Each year, at our annual AFS Golf Tournament in June, we continue to honor these families in memory of Artie Stearns who was killed by a drunk driver in 1988.   Anyone is eligible to be nominated as a potential recipient family.  Over the years, we have recognized "hundreds of families" who have had many different heartbreaking, trying or tragic situations.  Many times we find these families on our own or through word of mouth.  But often , people have reached out to us to let us know about people who have come across hard times.

There is no strict criteria for how we decide which families to honor and donate to.  We simply get together each year and discuss the plight of families who we want to consider or who have been nominated by others. 

If you would like to nominate a person or family to be considered as a recipient from our fund, simply fill out the form below and tell us why you think they are in need of our assistance and why they would be "worthy" of helping us to continue to grow Artie's legacy.
